2022/2023 – The cE3c Advanced Courses

cE3c is organizing a new set of advanced courses to be held during 2022-2023. These Courses are of high interest in the formation of students enrolling in the first year of  Doctoral Programmes at FCUL (e.g. Biology):

  • Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (University of Lisbon and University of Porto)
  • Sustainability Science (University of Lisbon, several Institutions)
  • Biology and Ecology of Global Changes (University of Lisbon and University of Aveiro), for whom they are free (as long as they count credits for their PhD Programme).

The Courses can also be attended by post-graduate students of other Doctoral Programmes or master students in Biology and related areas, and others with basic adequate formation (e.g. 1st cycle in Biology or related areas).

May 15th- 19th 2023 – Hands on Functional Diversity: from Ecological Indicators to Ecosystem Services (Alice Nunes et al.). Deadline for applications April 14th 2023.

May 22nd-26th 2023 – Climate Change Adaptation (Silvia Carvalho et al.). Deadline for applications April 21st 2023.

June 5th – 9th 2023 – Use of technology in field biology (Maria Dias, Inês Rosário et al.). Deadline for applications May 5th 2023.

June 14th – 16th 2023 – Introduction to R programming and biological data analysis (Inês Fragata & Alexandre Blanckaert). Deadline for applications May 15th 2023.

June 19th – 23rd 2023 – Advanced R for Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (Inês Fragata, Alexandre Blanckaert & Vitor Sousa). Deadline for applications May 15th 2023.

July 17th – 21st 2023 – Measuring Biodiversity: How to get data, assess its quality and measure different aspects of diversity (Joaquín Hortal). Deadline for applications: May 15th 2023.

July 24th-28th 2023 – Urban Ecology: the green within the city (Pedro Pinho et al.). Deadline for applications May 15th 2023.
